Building Styles

Basic
The Basic Barn Style is an efficient, fundamental, no-frills design for storage that offers options for storage—one being a loft for items you want to store above the floor adding to enhance your space for anything else you can imagine. It's the right choice when economy is paramount. The side walls of the Basic are 4 feet in height, 8 feet in the center on 8-foot buildings, 10 feet in the center on 10-foot buildings. The building shown is an 8x8. The Basic comes with the same Dutch Barn Dan, Inc. warranty as all other buildings constructed by DBD3.

Dutch
The Dutch Barn Style has been a classic throughout the United States for many years. Significant to the style are the "peak" on the front and the "ears" of the building on the sides that most people associate with the original Dutch Barn Design. Stylish, and still as practical as any building we offer, this traditional classic building offers great storage and will accent the backyard of any home. The building shown is an 8x8.

Highwall
The Highwall Barn Style was designed for the "non-barn" look with additional wall space for windows, work benches, shelving, and places to hang tools. This style has been built for offices, studios, garden houses, pool houses and made into 2 separate rooms offering storage space and a work area with insulated floors, walls, and ceiling, where you could frame in a space for your a/c unit. The building shown is 8 x 12. The Highwall is one of the most versatile structures we build with 7'1" interior wall height.

Standard
The Standard Style Building is a variation of the Classic Dutch Barn Style and the Basic Style Building for customers desiring more overhead storage and higher walls with a slight overhang all around. Although you will see the Standard design by other manufacturers, rarely, if ever, will you find one with the detail and quality found in every Dutch Barn Dan model. The Standard building shown is a 12 x 20 with lots of room for lofts, work benches, and shelving as just a few of the many options we offer. Side walls are 5 feet tall.

Cottage
The Cottage Style is the basic structure of a Highwall Style building with an oversized overhang of approximately 2 feet on the front, where you can opt for decorative doors, flower boxes, and windows to protect from the weather. The building shown is 8x10.

Windsor
The Windsor Style building is a more classic modern look with a steeper pitched roof (9/12 pitch) and Architectural Shingles, Cornice Gable Vents, and Decorative Doors. If you are desiring a more contemporary style to accent your home, this is the building for you. With the added height of 8-foot exterior walls [7ft, 10in Interior] and 12-inch overhangs on most buildings, all Windsor Style buildings are Built on-site (BOS). Most Windsor requests are for Vinyl siding which we offer in many colors.

Raised Wall Standard
The Raised Wall Standard Style offers the maximum in storage area. This building combines the raised wall height of the Highwall Style and the large overhead storage space found in the Standard Style building. Of all our buildings, this one offers the largest capacity in size and is a Build-on-Site construction due to the height. Side walls on a Raised Wall Standard are 7 feet, 8 inches. The building shown is 14 x 24. Please call for sizes and pricing.
